Tokyo Family Photographer: Hikawa Jinja
A family welcomes a new baby boy! They wanted some photos at a place that had a Japanese feel in Autumn. We went to a Hikawa Shrine that had some beautiful Gingko leaves. The timingg was perfect as their were shades of red, orange, and yellow everywhere! It was a bit chilly outside but the lighting was perfect and there were some beautiful moments captured!
Tokyo Child Photographer: Sibling Mini Session
We did an 8:30am mini session! A bit early but the lighting was great and luckily it wasn’t too cold outside! It was so cute seeing the siblings chase one another and jump with another. You could tell how much Mariska enjoys being an older sister with the way she plays with her little brother and also gives him hugs and kisses!
Tokyo Family Photographer: Tokyo Tower and Shiba Koen Family Portrait Session
I love it when families coordinate their clothes together! This family was super stylish with their outfits that had hints of red in different places.. which in turn looked so good at Shiba Koen with Tokyo Tower in the background! I love how even their 2 dogs had collars with flowers around their neck. Their son really enjoyed the planes going by and of course, playing at the playground at the end of the session (which kid doesn’t like that??)
Tokyo Family Photographer: Autumn Mini Session in Roppongi
I love how giggly this family was and how they liked to play games with one another. The sunlight going through the trees was so perfect for photos as well!
Tokyo Family Photographer: Mini Portrait Session in Autumn
Last week I did an Autumn mini session with this lovely family who had adorable twin boys!
Tokyo Tourist Photographer: A Date in Asakusa
What a fun couple from California. They were vacationing in Japan and decided to rent some traditional clothing for their day out in Asakusa. Even though Asakusa Sensoji Temple is usually quite crowded it is still such a beautiful and fun place to take photos!
Tokyo Lifestyle Photographer: Newborn Twins
I recently had the honor of photographing twin newborn boys! I loved being able to photograph a lifestyle session in the comfort of the family’s own home. The grandparents were in town visiting so it also provided a great opportunity to get them in the photos as well. One of the best things about doing this shoot was seeing the tremendous love this family has for one another. The grandparents flew from quite far to meet these cute little boys for the SECOND time… they were so proud! I loved seeing the affection everyone had for another and hearing stories of sentimental objects that were in the room!
Tokyo Tourist Photographer: Exploring Shinjuku with the Dodge Family
I love exploring Tokyo! It was fun walking around Shinjuku with the Dodge family. They were visiting Tokyo for a week and wanted to get some family photos done around the city. Shinuku was the perfect place to get some urban photos around the station, shopping malls, vending machines and crowds. Then we headed toward Shinjuku Gyoen where the kids were able to run around and the family could relax more in the beautiful gardens. I hope to find more fun people to explore Japan with and photograph!
Tokyo Tourist Photographer: The Ogawa Family explores Meiji Shrine and Harajuku
Taking photos for the Ogawas was a great experience. Meiji Shrine is one of the top sites in Tokyo, and their energetic daughter enjoyed running around everywhere, exploring the area! I enjoyed chasing after her, capturing her playful attitude and different expressions. It started to rain, so we headed toward Harajuku. We ended up getting caught in the middle of a dance festival! As hectic as it was, it was amazing to see so many people dressed in bright, traditional clothing while the Ogawas enjoyed some mango shaved ice! I love capturing families enjoying a day out in Tokyo. I can’t wait to take more photos in this city!
Newlyweds: Jen + Zach
Meet Newlyweds Jen & Zach!
They got married a few weeks ago on the East Coast, and since they weren’t able to do any outdoor photos on their wedding day since it was winter, they decided to do a newlywed photo shoot here in the Dominican Republic, where they have been living! I was so excited to be able to do a bridal beach photoshoot in Las Terrenas! The forecast for the whole weekend was THUNDERSTORMS, but thank God the weather was perfect the day we did the photos! (It rained the following 2 days!) It was great being able to take photos out of the city. Oh. and the sunset was GLORIOUS during the photo shoot!
One of my favorite parts of the shoot was when Zach surprisingly picked up Jen and carried her down to the beach!
Congrats again, Jen & Zach!
