Tokyo Wedding Photographer: An Engagement in Shinjuku Gyoen and Family Mart!
I had the honor of photographing C + J for their pre-wedding photos in Shinjuku! What a fun-loving couple! They wanted to do a mix of romantic fun at Shinjuku Gyoen (garden), and silly on the streets of Shinjuku (especially at Family Mart!) I love how expressive and fun they are and playful with each other. This photo shoot was done over 3 years ago but to this day I still talk to C+J and also that it is one of the most playful + romantic shoots I’ve ever done!

Tokyo Wedding Photographer: A Honeymoon at Tokyo Disneyland
It was my ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to photograph this couple during their honeymoon in Tokyo! I thought she chose such a perfect dress for the shoot- so romantic! And we still got to do some fun photos in Toon Town at the end!
Also, when they were here for their honeymoon, it was during the Tanabata Festival in Japan, which is also celebrated at Tokyo Disney Resort. It is a romantic festival, and people are encouraged to write their wishes on a paper.
Congrats, Ivy and Sufian!

Tokyo Proposal Photographer: Part 1: Proposal at Tokyo Disneyland
Little did she know what was going to happen this day!
This client booked a 2 HOUR photoshoot- Proposal + Engagement Photos.
And so the story begins…
I found the couple and took a few shots of them taking selfies in front of the castle….

Tokyo Engagement Photographer: Sakura Snow at Shinjuku Gyoen
Engagement photos for this couple that was on vacation in Tokyo. They came when Shinjuku Gyoen was in CRAZY FULL BLOOM…. And it was at the perfect time when there were also tons of petals on the ground. HOW BREATHTAKING!!! It was SUCH a beautiful day!

Tokyo Engagement Photographer: A Proposal Under the Cherry Trees of Chidorigafuchi
The original plan was that he was going to propose to her on a boat in the infamous moat of Chidorigafuchi park. But because of the rain, they closed the boat rental so we had to do a spontaneous back up plan. He wanted to propose to her in a quiet and intimate location under a cherry blossom tree, but that can be quite difficult considering the crowds that are in that area for the same reason of looking at cherry blossom trees. I did remember walking by a “secret” spot the other day and texted him pin drops and photos to direct him to that new location. I hid behind a tree and waited for them. I love that he waited a couple of minutes before proposing- It seemed to me like they were just soaking in the atmosphere and the beauty of everything. They were able to have a quiet and intimate moment before he suddenly dropped to one knee. (tee hee).
On another note, I LOVE her pink hair and how it matches the color of the sakura!

Tokyo Engagement Photographer: A Proposal at Shiba Koen
Guillaume contacted me the day before he planned to propose and we communicated via Whatsapp to figure out these last minute details for this proposal + engagement shoot! This couple was really lucky to have such amazing weather in Tokyo… the next day it was pouring rain. His fiancee truly was surprised by the proposal, and of course SHE SAID YES! You can tell in the photos that she was very happy and kept giggling and laughing since she was so surprised. I really enjoyed capturing that emotion!
