Tokyo Family and Lifestyle Photographer: Sumida Park and Traditional Streets of Asakusa

This family booked a 3 hour photoshoot in Asakusa with me!  So glad they booked a long shoot considering all the area we were trying to cover, plus outfit changes. They were SUCH a fun family- they loved to dance, dab, chase, make silly faces, eat ice cream… etc.  I hope these photos show just how fun they were to be around and captures what our day together was like!

Tokyo Engagement Photographer: A Proposal Under the Cherry Trees of Chidorigafuchi

Tokyo Engagement Photographer: A Proposal Under the Cherry Trees of Chidorigafuchi

The original plan was that he was going to propose to her on a boat in the infamous moat of Chidorigafuchi park.  But because of the rain, they closed the boat rental so we had to do a spontaneous back up plan.  He wanted to propose to her in a quiet and intimate location under a cherry blossom tree, but that can be quite difficult considering the crowds that are in that area for the same reason of looking at cherry blossom trees.  I did remember walking by a “secret” spot the other day and texted him pin drops and photos to direct him to that new location.  I hid behind a tree and waited for them.  I love that he waited a couple of minutes before proposing- It seemed to me like they were just soaking in the atmosphere and the beauty of everything.  They were able to have a quiet and intimate moment before he suddenly dropped to one knee. (tee hee).

On another note, I LOVE her pink hair and how it matches the color of the sakura!

Tokyo Vacation Photographer: Dusk at Shibuya

This couple booked a 2 hour photoshoot with me for their anniversary.  The first part of their session was taken at Shinjuku Gyoen, and the photos can be found in the previous blog.

The following photos are from our time together in Shibuya. We took the train from Shinjuku Gyoen so I figured I would get some shots in the metro along the way (I love taking photos in even the most random of locations!)  They changed outfits and we had a great time exploring this area at dusk!

Tokyo Wedding Photographer: A Cherry Blossom Anniversary at Shinjuku Gyoen

This couple flew to Japan to celebrate their 1 year anniversary!  My client even brought her wedding dress all the way from the Philippines so she could take photos under the cherry blossoms with it.  These photos were taken mid-March but luckily we were able to get some photos with sakura trees in them!  Later she changed outfits and wore yukata. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful sesssion! I love the lighting when the sunlight peeked through the forest!

We went to a Hikawa Shrine that had some beautiful Gingko leaves.  The timingg was perfect as their were shades of red, orange, and yellow everywhere! It was a bit chilly outside but the lighting was perfect and there were some beautiful moments captured!

Tokyo Family Photographer: Tokyo Tower and Shiba Koen Family Portrait Session

I love it when families coordinate their clothes together! This family was super stylish with their outfits that had hints of red in different places.. which in turn looked so good at Shiba Koen with Tokyo Tower in the background!  I love how even their 2 dogs had collars with flowers around their neck. Their son really enjoyed the planes going by and of course, playing at the playground at the end of the session (which kid doesn’t like that??)
