Tokyo Vacation Photographer: A Fun and Funky Family Explores Harajuku, Shibuya, and Omotesando

with No Comments

This family booked me for a 2 hour shoot so we could explore Omotesando, Harajuku, and Shibuya!  I LOVED how FUN and OPEN to doing things!  I really enjoy seeing my clients being WOWed by things in Japan- whether it’s the hip store fronts, cute pet shops, cotton candy and desserts everywhere, hall of mirrors, LINE characters, etc!  I also LOVE it when my clients are very intentional with what they wear- the father and son were wearing Pokemon shirts, and it was cool that they brought some funky sunglasses to take photos with!  So creative and adds so much character to the photos!  Halfway during the shoot the storm clouds came and it started to POUR… They got a bit wet but we still had fun and got some great shots!

Time to have a DISCO DANCE OFF in front of BUBBLES! (The sign says “BUBBLES LAUNDRY DISCO”)

Let’s make CUTE FACES with PEACE SIGNS with these KAWAII CHARACTERS!

UH OH… CUTE PET SHOP!

In front of the FUNKY HARAJUKU graffiti sign…

Time to walk down Takeshita Dori… The center of Harajuku.  It started raining when we were on this street!

Then a group of Japanese girls thought the boy was “SO KAWAII!”

Rain!

Then we wet to get cotton candy… it was actually raining during this time so they were under an awning and I was standing in the rain holding an umbrella trying to photograph them!

It was pouring but we still took the train to Shibuya…

Shhhh… Quiet on the trains!

We are now in Shibuya!
